For the Future...

Our Weekly 2 Minute Read

Edition 139 - March 21, 2021

Make decisions today that your future self would be proud of.

Today matters, so spend time doing the things that are important. The things that will affect your legacy. The things that will give purpose to your life. The things that make a positive impact on others. The things that matter.

Don’t let the evils of the world deter you from making today a master piece. Evils such as laziness, lack of motivation, bad tempers, pain, and excuses just to name a few.

Do the little things right just as if you were doing the big things right. Like showing kindness and respect to a random person you meet just as if you were showing kindness and respect to a major client you’re working with. How much care you put into writing a sentence is how much care you put into writing a novel. The saying goes “How you do anything is how you do everything.”

What are you going to be doing today that’s going to affect you twenty years from now? The story is being written right now, and everyone will have their own unique story. In life it’s about the choices you make, some will be tougher than others. Some decisions won’t affect you at all, some will affect you just a little, and some will be very important that will affect you for many years to come. What kind of legacy do you want? Warren Buffet once said, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.” Make decisions today that your future self would be proud of.
