What Does Your Reputation Say About You?
Our Weekly 2 Minute Read
We’ve all been there.
A new job interview that requires references.
A college application that requires teacher recommendations.
A game-changing internship that you’re applying for, but needs work experience.
As we move through stages in life, we begin to interact with and develop contacts around our industries.
But as you move around – what are those contacts saying about you?
We all want to believe that our old boss says we were the most amazing workers.
We all want to believe that our customers and suppliers would happily conduct business transactions with us again.
But is that actually the reality?
Whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing, people talk.
Nobody wants to be the business contact that “screws everyone over”.
Nobody wants to be the former employee that “always showed up late”.
Yet realistically, someone fits the exact mold.
Unfortunately, perception is reality.
You can talk to the talk, but at the end of the day, you have to walk the walk.
Actions change opinions.
The question is - what does your reputation say about you?
